Armen Garo is remembered by most as the menacing Salvatore “Coco” Cogliano on HBO’s THE SOPRANOS. He was born and raised in Troy, New York and graduated from The Albany Academy. His other noteworthy appearances include THE DEPARTED, AMERICAN HUSTLE, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, BY THE GUN, FRIENDS AND ROMANS and most recently, HBO’s VINYL in which he played Corrado Galasso. He also had the recurring role of Det. Lt. Gillardino in Showtime’s BROTHERHOOD. Last year he appeared Off-Broadway in HOW ALFO LEARNED TO LOVE at E59. He is currently appearing in Woody Allen’s critically-acclaimed CAFE SOCIETY and will be guest starring in an episode of Season Three of GOTHAM. In 2014 he was awarded Best Supporting Actor in the short GRADUATION that received Best Short Film at the Long Island International Film Festival. He is a 30-year veteran and retired lieutenant of the East Providence Police Dept. He is the former New England Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion of Rhode Island. He studied at Trinity Rep Conservatory in Providence, RI. and has a BS in Speech Communication from Emerson Collage as well as an MS in Administration of Justice from Salve Regina University.
